Professional Statement
Allison is a specialist in working with clients experiencing symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and utilize Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients respond in way that they haven't been used to with their intrusive thoughts. Allison had worked with many subtypes of OCD, but the subtypes she is most familiar with are Contamination OCD, "Just Right" OCD, Harm OCD, and Sexual Obsessive Thoughts.

Her approach is structured, yet creative and going with the flow of she is noticing the needs are during the session. In addition to the outpatient setting, Allison has  worked at the Partial Hospitalization Program level of care with clients who were experiencing severe symptoms of OCD.

Allison also has experience working with clients with depression, anxiety (social anxiety, performance anxiety, perfectionism),  trauma, trichotillomania (hair pulling), and excoriation disorder (skin picking). Allison also has a lot of experience working with clients that have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). 

Types of anxiety Allison has approached with clients has been more generalized anxiety, panic disorder, performance anxiety, social anxiety, and treating phobias through ERP.

Allison approaches trauma through a trauma informed lens utilizing Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), narrative therapy, and DBT skills to help regulate intense emotions.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
