Professional Statement
Shanice is a therapist with experience supporting clients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), including those navigating intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, and related anxiety. She is also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) who specializes in supporting women and teens experiencing anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, codependency, attachment difficulties, relational trauma, and low self-worth. She is passionate about helping clients develop self-trust, emotional awareness, and healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Her approach is person-centered, relational, and collaborative. She creates a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted. Through this supportive relationship, Shanice helps clients explore the experiences that have shaped their beliefs and relationship patterns, deepen their understanding of their emotions, and respond to their needs with greater awareness and care.

Sessions may focus on managing anxiety, strengthening self-worth, setting boundaries, improving emotional regulation, and understanding attachment patterns. Shanice also offers practical resources, worksheets, and strategies to support growth between sessions. Her goal is to help clients feel more grounded in who they are and more confident navigating life’s challenges.
Message to clients
Shanice welcomes clients living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), offering a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to speak openly about intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, and their impact on daily life. She also supports clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by perfectionism, or accustomed to putting others’ needs before their own. She offers space to pause, explore their experiences, and reconnect with themselves.

As a therapist, mom, and recovering perfectionist herself, Shanice understands how insecurity and limiting beliefs can affect confidence and relationships. She welcomes uncertainty, complicated feelings, and unfinished thoughts, approaching each client with curiosity and care. Working collaboratively at a pace that respects each person’s needs, she helps clients understand their emotions, practice healthier boundaries, and build trust in themselves.
